Kia continues to impress car buyers and auto critics alike with their innovative designs and substantial growth in the last few years. After breaking their own sales records, month over month, this past September, Kia officially broke their previous annual sales total - in only nine months!
Kia Motors America (KMA) has officially gone 13-straight months beating their own sales records. By the numbers, Kia has sold over 35,000 units, an 18.4-percent increase over last September. The double-digit increase is, in large part, attributed to the Kia Sorento, and the attention-grabbing Kia Optima. But these are just the sales within the United States.
Globally, Kia has sold an unbelievable 217,736 units - a 16.3-percent increase over last year! Some of the countries included in this global total include China (45.9 percent increase), Europe (20.6 percent increase) and Korea (4.4 percent increase).
Byung Mo Ahn, Group President, KMA, has said of their record-breaking year, "Kia has become one of the fastest growing car companies in the U.S., and breaking our sales record in less than nine months is the result of our dramatic brand transformation and our diverse lineup."1.
Kia plans to continue this trend, by adding to their current lineup of consistently stylish, powerful and fuel-efficient vehicles. We're sure the 40-mpg-average Kia Rio5, set to arrive at Paul Cerame Kia any day now, will only help Kia to break more sales records.
