We're beginning to feel like a broken record here at Paul Cerame Kia. Because, here we go again: The Kia Optima has won yet another award. Not that we're complaining. We've loved the new Kia Optima since the first time it rolled into our showroom, and apparently, everybody else loves it too!

The latest on the list of Kia Optima fans is The Boston Globe, who placed the sedan on their "Top Drives for 2012" list. More than 100 cars and trucks were eligible to make the list, and after some serious debate, and test drives through some of New England's harshest weather, the staff narrowed it down to ten of the best cars available today. Editor's say that the ten cars "span a wide range of prices and vehicles segments, but all carry the same core traits: excellent performance, quality construction, fine details, and most of all, solid value."¹

The first thing staffers at the Globe noticed? The impressive numbers racked up by the Optima this year. By the December of 2011, sales of the Kia Optima had increased three-fold compared to the same period in 2010. Reviewers lauded the sedan for its sporty image, spacious interior, expert handling and impressive cabin technology. But what really put them over the edge was the heated steering wheel that took the edge off the winter driving experience in New England.

Needless to say, Kia is mighty proud of the Optima. Michael Sprague, VP, Marketing and Communications at Kia Motors America, says, "With its powerful combination of world-class design, advanced technology, turbocharged performance and outstanding value, the Optima has been turning heads since arriving in showrooms in January and demand has outpace supply all year."² He goes on to say that Kia's unprecedented growth, coupled with award-winning models like the Optima  will drive sales and success for the automaker well into 2012.
