Kia Celebrates the Southwest With the Red Rock Soul

The funky Kia Soul has been a hit since it was first unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2008. It began rolling into dealerships in 2010, and time and time again, shoppers have been impressed by its design, functionality, safety, entry-level price point, and its long list of available technology and features. It's the perfect car for somebody looking for a fun and flexible mode of transportation.

Because of all of the enthusiasm surrounding the Soul, Kia has released six special edition models to entice buyers looking for an even more individualized experience. Michael Sprague, Kia Motors America VP of Marketing and Communications says, "The wildly popular Soul has been a game-changer for Kia since it arrived...and our series of special editions over the past three years have added individualism and exclusivity to an already fun and youthful vehicle."1

And, this year, Kia added a seventh special edition Soul to the list. Sprague says, "Style and flair are key to Soul's success, and the Red Rock Special Edition, which has plenty of both, will help drive sales into 2012."2

What about that Red Rock style and flair? Well let's just start by saying that the Red Rock Special Edition started as a concept inspired by the red rocks of the Southwestern United States. After debuting at the New York auto show last year, it toured the United States, and people loved it so much, Kia turned their concept into a reality. It's now available at dealerships across the country.

Painted Canyon brown with glossy black accents, the Red Rock features a special black leather/brown cloth interior. Standard features include automatic climate control and heated front seats.
