Kia Recognized by EPA as Extremely Efficient Auto Manufacturer

Lots of auto brands are concerned with "greening" themselves these days, but not all of them have the "street cred" to back those statements up. Kia, on the other hand, has the full support of the EPA. According to a 2011 EPA Fuel Economy Trends Report, Kia boasts the largest gains in fuel economy in the industry- along with the greatest reduction in CO2 emissions. According to the survey, Kia "had the biggest improvement in adjusted CO2 and fuel economy performance from MY 2009 to MY 2010."1

Michael Sprague, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Kia Motors America, explains what makes Kia a trailblazer in the auto industry, stating, "As an industry leader in fuel economy, Kia is committed to providing safe, high-quality vehicles that are socially relevant to consumers. Our goal is to stay ahead of the industry by applying innovative technologies such as direct-injection and turbocharged engines to advance our efforts and continue improving on the benchmarks Kia has set in the sustainability realm."2

Some of the brand's most impressive fuel-efficient vehicles include the 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid, which was introduced in 2011 and the soon-to come 2013 Kia Rio 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback, which will offer the first Idle Stop and Go technology in its subcompact segment.

Kia certainly has proven it cares about the world around us. Paul Cerame Kia is proud to be a part of such initiatives, and we're also proud of the dedication we show to customer care.
